蠟棉連帽衫

The sleeves are cut roomy enough to layer a thick sweater underneath, which I didn't expect from a waxed jacket. I've worn it through three rainy commutes and the water still beads up nicely, no soaking through yet.

Rain drips right off the sleeves, and the hood actually stays put in a gust, which is more than I can say for my last jacket. This thing feels like it'll outlive me, the way the waxed cotton has that sturdy, grounded weight to it. Wore it on a damp dog walk this morning and came home completely dry—

The fabric has that stiff, waxy feel at first but it breaks in beautifully after a few wears, and the hood sits high enough to keep rain off my neck. I've taken it out in a proper drizzle and water just beads right off the surface.
