Seasoned this bad boy for an hour and cooked steaks with a perfect sear—the cast iron holds heat like nothing else. Veggies got nice grill marks too, all without a single flare-up.

I was worried about sticking at first, but the durable iron surface released my chicken thighs perfectly. Cleanup took no time at all.

The half-deep shape is what sold me, since it keeps veggies from rolling off into the fire while the meat sears on the flat side. Iron's heavy in the good way, and it slid right into my setup.
