The carbon steel blades cut through green stems way cleaner than my old cheap pair, no crushing at all. The cowhide case is a nice touch too, snaps shut securely so they don't rattle around in my toolbox.

The leather case with the snap closure is what sold me — it clips onto my belt so the scissors are always handy when I'm deadheading roses. Blades still shave paper after a full season of use.
