The rough tip on this pole really grabs the tarp grommets securely, even in gusty conditions. Setup is quick and it telescopes smoothly to the full 240cm. A solid, functional choice for sheltering.

The 1.5mm aluminum feels reassuringly solid when I'm cranking the pole up under the fly, and that rough tip really grips the tarp's grommet. It took a few tries to get the height right alone, but once set, it didn't budge in a gusty afternoon.

Stood the tarp up in about two minutes with zero fuss, and the rough tip grabbed the ground nicely so nothing slipped even in a gust. For the price, this 240cm pole feels bomber for solo camp setups where you need a solid ridge line.
